Sudha Aunty refuses to cry
In the face of the sheer terror
that is the PCR van
scaring, plundering
protectors of Mankind
Local gods roaming the realm
always around
Shanti Aunty pushes them back
as she jumps out
into her full teethed laughter
She laughs at the gods, at the police, at life
Glasses down
"No need to see", she says
"You'll see what they want you to see"
Useless.
Her red bindi shines bright on the face of
the red lights and red tapes
Red salute, cry all the Urban Naxals around
to the local anti-god
amidst the green-yellow-saffron faces that look.
